Welcomed Rain Today!

A welcomed rain fell today after a dry spell with hot, humid weather.  The beets are now about 10 inches tall and looking great!  The students enjoy checking the garden before school and during recess.  During lunch recess, students place their lunch boxes on the retaining wall around the garden.  Everyone has been so careful!  Great job, Lions!

Garden and School Grounds weeded and ready for Ice Cream Social!

Thanks to Emily Griffin, Jiyun Park, and students for weeding and caring for the school garden today.  The Physical Plant Grounds Crew weeded, mowed, and mulched our grounds today, too.  The fence on the upper playground was removed by the Grounds Crew.  It’s ready for soccer, football, and kickball!  Hooray!

Welcome rains!

The recent rains helped our beet plants double in size -weeds included!  The PTO Garden Committee is planning to spruce up the school grounds and weed the flower and beet gardens at the end of the week.  The flowers our students planted on during Flower Planting Day on May 1 are blooming in beautiful reds and whites.  Just in time for our Ice Cream Social on August 14!
